CruisinPashmina Posted August 30, 2014 #1 Share Posted August 30, 2014 On another thread inquiring about the Whisper's CD, there was a mention of Moss Hills, and a suggestion to Google him to discover the part he played in the rescue of over 500 passengers and crew from the sinking Oceanos off the coast of South Africa. I googled and read his account and that led me to a brief six part UTube series which originally aired on NBC's Dateline program. The story of "Miracle off the Wild Coast, the sinking of the Oceanos", is a story of heroes and cowards and ordinary people caught up in horrendous circumstances. That we have met Moss Hills, last spring on the Whisper, and found him to be a professional, soft spoken, charming gentleman made watching the videos an especially extraordinary experience. I wholeheartedly hope that people reading this post will take the time to find these UTube videos, and that if the opportunity arises, will tell Moss that we and Silversea are beyond lucky to have him with us. Master Echo Posted September 1, 2014 #3 Share Posted September 1, 2014 Hi you guys, Was intrigued by your posting about Moss Hills and mention of the Whisper's CD. We have just got off the Whisper, and left a larger than life CD in the persona of Fernando Barroso de Oliveira - does Moss Hills share the post when Fernando is on leave? Fernando is due to go to head office imminently to work on a special project. Kindest regards Master Echo
