iluvdoxies Posted August 15, 2005 #1 Share Posted August 15, 2005 Hi saw your post on another thread--- where do you snorkel in Grand Caymen that is just a 5 min walk away? Thanks!
bbiggar Posted August 15, 2005 #2 Share Posted August 15, 2005 I can't remember the name of the place, but it is to the right of where you get off the tender there. Go past Hard Rock and it's just kiddie corner across the street. There is a little outdoor bar/grill? there, you enter from the rock area. Hope this is a little help. cali-croozer Posted August 15, 2005 #3 Share Posted August 15, 2005 There are 2 dive shops that rent gear, but there is no charge to snorkel. We go to Eden Rock Diving Center. They have lockers for rent so you don't have to worry about your stuff while you snorkel. Their website, which includes walking directions from the pier, as well as rental prices is www.edenrockdive.com. After you snorkel there, you can walk about a mile down the road to the right and you'll get to Smith Cove.....small, uncrowded beach with no facilities other than a small bathroom and a few picnic tables. Our favorite place. You can bring your rented equipment there as it is rented for the day.
