drac0nic Posted September 16, 2014 #1 Share Posted September 16, 2014 Hi - My fiancee and i are planning a cruise had some questions. We'll be in jamaica on sept 25 2014 and were wondering what we should do if its raining. we're on a tight budget and would like enjoy our time as much as possible without spending much money. Also - how much is cab fare usually there? should we hoof it or cab around?

mrsfuzzmo Posted September 17, 2014 #4 Share Posted September 17, 2014 montego bay thanks! If you want to just "hoof it" in Montego Bay, take the hop-on, hop-off shuttle to The Hip Strip area. Here you can go to Doctor's Cave Beach, or walk the strip and eat at a local restaurant or jerk hut, or if it's raining, go to Margaritaville and enjoy the margaritas and a view. It generally will only rain for short periods of time in Jamaica and because the weather is warm, it's not too big of a deal. If it looks like a torrential downpour, I would think it would be fun to hang out at Margaritaville (which has open walls to the ocean) and watch the rain come in while listening to music and having a cocktail. I'd rather do that than sit inside on the ship.
