Nrw Carnival cruiser needs help choosing a balcony!

Good morning everyone!

 

I'm a Royal Caribbean cruiser trying Carnival for the first time!

 

I need some help choosing a balcony. We will be sailing on the Carnival Magic on her February 19th sailing for 4 nights. Our first getaway without the baby!!! So I have been reading there is an expanded public deck; deck 5. I would prefer not to look down and see this deck but we do prefer a midship stateroom. What are our options?!

The Cove Balconies seem to be pretty popular. On my mock booking there are at least 9 available.

 

Also if you are interested in aft (which I know you said mid ship) 9475 and 9472 are available. Both rooms might make you reconsider wanting to be mid ship.

 

Both of these options will give you views with pretty minimal "deck"views.

If you pick a cove balcony be aware of what's on the deck above your stateroom. I've heard some of those coves under the galley can have a real noise issue.

We have stayed aft before and loved it. I will take a look at the above mentioned afts! Husband is not a fan of the coves. I showed him a YouTube video and he was creeped out by the proximity to the ocean.
