New York Buddy Service

Hi everyone

 

Does anybody know of the buddy service that operates in NY? I remember reading somewhere that volunteers (buddies) offer their time to show first time visitors to the city around. I've heard that NY can be pretty daunting to the first timer and as we are not staying very long in NY I wondered whether to take advantage of this service. Thnks. Kirsty

I have used the free Big Apple Greeter service a couple of times, when I have been in New York. I can highly recommend it. The volunteers are very knowledgable and enthusiastic about their particular parts of the city. The web site is www.bigapplegreeter.org Hope you have a good time!
