HRPro Posted October 15, 2014 #51 Share Posted October 15, 2014 We're doing this cruise next July so I have been eagerly followed along. We are also planning to do the Paris on your own excursion through Princess. What time did you leave the ship for Paris and how much free time did you have? It seems you covered quite a lot of territory. Did you walk or take the metro? I saw that you took the bus at one point. Did that work out well? We're thinking of getting a one day metro pass to save time. Thanks for answering my questions!

We met in the bar near dining (I forgot the name) and don't forget to bring your passport! We had 5 hours there, not nearly enough time but fun nonetheless. I was planning on taking the metro but the guide on the bus gave me the bus idea. I was going to do the Eiffel Tower first but she said do it later for better pictures. It was raining that day anyways so I don't think it mattered. She gave us a map and told me the direction and what bus to take so I took her advice and it worked out great. Travlin grrl Posted October 16, 2014 Author #54 Share Posted October 16, 2014 Thank you again for your wonderful review. It was most helpful to us. Judy Thanks for reading Judy. I just know I read a lot of other peoples reviews before I went and that helped me plan my whole trip. I think I saved a lot of money by mostly doing independent tours and on my own. Travlin grrl Posted October 23, 2014 Author #55 Share Posted October 23, 2014 We didn't want it to end. The teens actually told me they wanted to stay on longer. We decided to walk off our luggage since we came back late and weren't packed all the way. We grabbed a quick breakfast from the IC and were one of the earlier groups to leave. This is unbelievably organized and very easy to get where you need to go. We took the Princess coach to the airport and were taken right to Virgin Airlines. This airport is like a shopping mall. Makeup counters, Harrods, lots of eateries. We had a long wait for our flight so picked up last minute souvenirs. They don't tell you your gate till about an hour ahead and it's a long walk to get to your terminal. Love that they have the people movers. Another long flight back and wishing I was rich so I could sit and sleep in first class. It's tough sitting in those seats for 10 hours trying to sleep. If I was to fly to London again I would definitely choose Virgin. Great service and the food was actually not bad either. I just wish the seats were a little roomier. I will post Princess patters if it works. I just know I've tried with my Ipad every which way and it doesn't work. Only thumbnails. If the app works well I will download it and try to post those if anyone wants to see them.
