robthens Posted August 17, 2005 #1 Share Posted August 17, 2005 After reading the boards, we have definitely decided to cave-tube in Belize. NCQ Adventure tours http://www.ncqadventuretours.com/tubing.html offers a tour for $75 per person. This is higher than the other independents; however, they claim to offer the following upgrades from the other tour companies: - drive through the Jaguar Paw Jungle Resort - use of the facilities @ the resort for changing, etc - shorter walking distance to the river - tour of the upper & lower cave - lunch inside the air-conditioned restaurant of the resort - time permitting, small tour of the resort & butterfly farm Comments please. I don't mind paying more if I get more.
taillon Posted August 19, 2005 #2 Share Posted August 19, 2005 I remember our guide from Coral Breeze mentioning that resort but not much else that he said about it. But there is a nice place to change and use the restroom right near the river (the drop off point for all the tours that I am aware of). Many of the other tours also provide a nice lunch but not all have A/C. The cafe we ate at through Coral Breeze was open air but we were under the canopy and it was a nice temperature. We also did the two caves (I think all the tours offer this). As far as a closer walk...I would ask them about that because if the walk is closer does that mean you aren't doing as much of the river?? Not sure there. So I don't know if all that helps but it gives you a little information. I guess it depends on how nice that resort and butterfly farm is, I think that is the only real difference. Hopefully someone else knows more about it!
