Wine to carry on a B2B cruise

We are booked on Royal Caribbean which I understand leaves from the Pan American Pier.

Question #1 - What is the best and closest place to purchase my wine??? We're not fond of what we call "2 Buck Chuck", but don't need a totally upscale selection either. I ask this because I understand there is a CVS and Walgreens there and not knowing what their selection is like I would like to have another option to tell the cab driver.

Question #2 - Since I'm on a B2B can I bring all 4 bottles when I check in for the 1st leg or do I have to go back out and buy the other 2 bottles while we're in port for the 2nd leg???

Thanks!

While I am not sure where the closest store is to the PanAm pier.... if you are coming straight from the airport... just have your taxi driver go to a place to buy wine. From what I understand if you bring extra and the cruise line just holds on to it at boarding.... you get it all back the last night, then you would have it all for the 2nd leg. Or even any bottles you might buy on your port stops as well. Kind of a handy thing for the 2nd leg.

You are exactly like us. I will never buy Barefoot - ever. (For those of you that like Barefoot out there in Readerland, I wish I did, too. I blame working in a boutique wine shop and taking 3 trips to Napa.) While we were on our San Juan stop in September, we scoped out the CVS. Yikes! In a few weeks we will be cruising out of there and will be asking our friends to take us to a grocery store. Do not count on CVS!

Thanks....just what I figured... if I brought all 4 bottles that they would either let us take them all or possibly hold two.

Sounds like we will be going to a grocery store with a larger selection than CVS/Walgreens.

We are fortunate to live so close to so many wineries (we have 3 wine regions with multiple wineries within an hour drive from us) so now we are more picky about what we like. It's a good thing tho. :-)
