Question about rooms in the front of ship

Recommended Posts

Is there any down side to having a room at the front of the ship ie Deck 4 on the Enchantment very forward rooms on either side. Those are the only two rooms left on the cruise we are looking at. So its that or a diff. cruise.

Hello, We were on the Mariner two weeks ago and had room 8214 oceanview at the very front (forward, starboard) side of the ship. I had concerns of feeling movement and barely felt anything. It was our first cruise and we loved our location on the ship. Have a wonderful time!:)

We will be on Explorer at the very front, we don't even have a balcony, just a window to look out of just like on the bridge. Our TA says it is a great room. Hope you enjoy your cruise. When are you going?? Our cruise is in Sept. I could let you know but it will probably be too late for you to make reservations.

You will hear the anchor chain rattling if any of your ports involve tendering. There may be noise from waves hitting the bow of the ship. On the lower decks, you will hear the thrusters as the ship is maneuvered into a pier. These were all noises we heard in forward cabins on deck 3 on the Sovereign of the Seas last week.

I have not been on that particular ship but in April we cruised Carnival Valor and we were on deck 2 about 3 rooms from the front of the ship. We did not hear or feel anything different than when we were on the 7th deck mid ship. You will be fine. If the ship rocks, the whole ship will rock.

Have Fun!
