Whats the deal w/ships ending in "ation"?

Generally cruise lines build multiple ships from one design. These ships may vary in decor, but have the same basic design. In the past, they sometimes had similar names such as the 'ation" ships.

Carnival calls them the "Fantasy Class" ships. All have nearly the same floor plan but the decor is different. The Paradise is included in the Fantasy Class ships. Seems like there's another one, too, but I can't remember.

The Fantasy maybe?

No - I've seen where it's implied that if a ship ends in "ation" it's a big party ship or something. Or am I totally off base?

LOL Sorry we missed your meaning. The Older Carnival ships most whose name ends in "tion" do the shorter three and four day runs, which tend to have more of a party atmosphere then then longer cruises. It is not the ships themselved but the itinerary. We did a 5 day Imagination cruise last year in the middle of March and it wasn't crazy at all.
