Cupcrazy Posted December 4, 2014 Author #701 Share Posted December 4, 2014 While we were walking down the hallway one of the Owner's Suites was open and the room steward let us go in to take a look. FYI... The guests had already vacated the cabin.

Cupcrazy Posted December 4, 2014 Author #703 Share Posted December 4, 2014 Make sure you throw out your drum sticks & palm trees The Port Everglades Hertz location is in the Crown Plaza which is right outside the port. The shuttle ride is less than 5 minutes from the port. Before the cruise we dropped our car off here and they shuttled us to the port. I had booked a regular SUV which was a Jeep Grand Cherokee before the cruise. While at the desk I made a joke about getting a Mercedes. The person working there (don't want to mention the name so they don't get in trouble) said sure I'll upgrade you. I was upgraded to a Mercedes GLK SUV for free. The staffer also gave me a deal on gas. The tank was full but they wrote down that there was only 1/8 of a tank left and I could pay $9 right then and wouldn't have to worry about filling it up when dropping off. It was AMAZING!!! Cupcrazy Posted December 4, 2014 Author #719 Share Posted December 4, 2014 This review has now come to an end. I want to thank everyone who has stayed with me through 2 cruises. Your nice comments have been very encouraging throughout. I can't pick which of these 2 trips was better because they were both fantastic. The only disappointment was the rain during the 2nd trip but you predict that when booking so you just go with the flow. All the food was fantastic, ship/venues/entertainment incredible and the people great. Only 324 days until my next cruise - Independence of the Seas October 25, 2015. Even though the review is done, please feel free to keep asking questions. Again, THANK YOU so much for following along!! -Nathaniel
poutanen Posted December 4, 2014 #720 Share Posted December 4, 2014 ^^^ Thanks for taking the time to write it! I've been following along pretty much every day. Getting stoked for our cruise in January! Thanks for the nice words! I use a Canon PowerShot ELPH 320 HS. It shoots in full HD. I've had it for a couple years and have been able to some really good shots from it. I would get a DLSR but I don't want to have to carry it around with me. Canon has some awesome cameras like that for under $200! I brought my DSLR on our honeymoon, and took it on shore two of the three days, but I'm a wannabe photography buff so half of my fun is wandering around looking for some cool shots. Would you mind if I posted some in here of the Eastern Caribbean cruise?

Would you mind if I posted some in here of the Eastern Caribbean cruise? My freelance job is camera op (video) for sporting events (MLB, NBA, NHL) here in Toronto. So I know a bit about photography and framing shots. I can't stand giving my camera to someone to take a picture of me/us and there be a ton of open space above my head. But I can't justify buying a DSLR, I just don't really need it. You can post a few pics if you want.

Here's part of the adults only Solarium: View of the rock climbing walls in the back: I was running around Little Bay beach taking pictures of plants and sea shells, and this guy was hanging out in a tree the whole time! Had some roti on the pier in St. Maarten and this little guy was hanging out beside us! Central park at night: The wife wiping out on the florider... Great boat, great ports, great time!
