Match play & cheers

Please tell me about how match play and cheers work together. I'm a little fuzzy on match play to begin with.

Apparently if I buy a drink I can play free at the casino? So if I have cheers is that still buying a drink? How does this work? It kind of sounds to good to be true from what I've put together. Someone give me the straight goods.

When you get the classic cocktails you receive a $5 Free Play for even money bets. Yes it works with Cheers, just be sure to get the receipt to take to the cashier. Good way to lower the Cheers cost!

When you purchase a Classic Cocktail (on cheers or individual purchase), you will receive a receipt. You take the receipt(s) to the casino cashier who will redeem your receipts and give you 1 match play coupon for every Classic Cocktail you purchased. You can only use the match play in the casino on table games bets that generally return even money. Blackjack, pass line on Craps, red/black on Roulette, etc.

For an example, lets say you want to play $5 at blackjack. You put a $5 chip and the match play card in the betting circle. You play the hand. If you win, you receive $10 and the dealer takes the match play card. Your $5 is now $15. If you lose, the dealer takes your $5 chip and the match play card. If you push, you keep your $5, they take the match play card since it is only valid for one hand, but I find that a majority of the dealers let that push as well and be used for the next hand.

No, you cannot play for free in the casino. Let me explain. Say you go to a blackjack table where the minimum bet is $6. You have to bet at least $6 in chips. Then you add the match play coupon to the bet so you then have what is basically an $11 bet, your 6 plus the match play. If you win the hand you get paid $6 for the $6 bet and another $5 for the match play coupon. Then they take the coupon and give you a $5 chip. If you lose the hand all the chips and match play coupon go bye bye.
