Jax port lately and Verizon rewards

For those who've been out of Jacksonville lately, about what time are they cleared and ready to let people in? We've been out of there twice and were in around 10:30 but I've read a few reviews of it being much later lately :confused: We do FTTF so we can make the most of our day!

 

Also, thanks to all of your who post on here I found out about the Verizon rewards program and got a $500 Carnival e-gift card for $450. We already have a $100 onboard credit so basically we now have $600 to spend and paid $450. Score! :D

Was looking around and noticed you hadn't gotten an answer. I have not sailed out of Jax recently, but thought I would try to help.

 

Both the Carnival and the Jacksonville Port website still say that the gates open at 10:30 am. I did see a review of a recent cruise (10/6 I think), and they said they showed up at 10 am and were told to return after 11 am. If you don't get an answer from a recent cruiser, maybe it would be best to email the Port directly.

Because the ship has to travel up the St John's river to port. Occasionally the ship is delayed Fog,tides,etc.. So if the ship is late in arrival they will not open the gate for parking.. Forcing passages to wait outside the port till they are ready for them.
