waterbugohio Posted October 29, 2014 #1 Share Posted October 29, 2014 Just wondering how far apart these two are?? We are pricing hotels out in Condado. Would like to go to the cathedral on Sunday morning before leaving for the ship. Would we be able to taxi, with all our luggage to Barrachina, store the luggage and then walk to the cathedral. And if so, how far would it be and how long of walk? Just trying to figure in all the prices of taxi's when deciding where to stay. PS. hotels are crazy $$$ in March!!! Dirkgun Posted October 29, 2014 #2 Share Posted October 29, 2014 What pier are you leaving from on your cruise? If on Carnival you will be in Old San Juan. If so I would take the taxi to the pier and drop off your luggage and maybe even check in if you can. Then Barrachinas is about 2 blocks up and maybe 4 blocks west of the pier. Then the Cathedral is about 2 blocks away from that. The best way to see what it looks like is to look at google earth or maps and close up on Old San Juan then search for the Barrachinas you will see where it is. If you are at the Pan AM pier across the bay... I still might go and drop your luggage at the terminal then have your taxi take you over to OSJ to one of your locations then just walk to the other. Most ships don't sail out of San Juan until later in the evening.
waterbugohio Posted October 29, 2014 Author #3 Share Posted October 29, 2014 We sail from the Pan Am Pier. Been to San Juan several times, just never walked much of it. Would like to drop luggage off before mass at the Cathedral so I doubt I can take it to the pier that early (9AM) will try google earth
