a1moty Posted August 20, 2005 #1 Share Posted August 20, 2005 Can anyone give me advice on getting from the San Diego Airport to the pier? Is it better to take the cruise transportation or a taxi? Also, how much time should we plan on so I can arrange appropriate flights. Many thanks!
Ma Bell Posted August 20, 2005 #2 Share Posted August 20, 2005 Take a taxi. It's about 5 minutes to the airport.:)
Happy ks Posted August 20, 2005 #3 Share Posted August 20, 2005 Take the taxi, you can almost see the ship from the airport. It's only a couple of miles away. We were down in San Diego last week, no cruise ships in port, but we did go to the USS Midway. You can see air traffic from the deck of the Midway. You can walk to Midway from the cruise ship port, it's only about a block or so. Also, there is the Star Of India, the small ship HMS Surprise, that was used in "Master and Commander". It's worth getting off the ship, or staying a day pre or post cruise. Have a great cruise!
Cruise Arizona Posted August 21, 2005 #4 Share Posted August 21, 2005 A taxi is fine, vere inexpensive becuase it is just a hop, skip and jump from the Airport to the Cruise terminal. However if you are very athletic and feeling guilty about the upcoming eating fest on the cruise you could walkmaybe about 1 or 2 miles. You of course would have to take three or four trips with all the luggage, but then think howmany chocolate martini's you might be earning before the cruise even starts.:) Seriously, the Taxi is very inexpensive. You'll walk off the plane and see the terminal right there.
a1moty Posted August 25, 2005 Author #5 Share Posted August 25, 2005 Thanks so much for the info in the taxi-- I am sure that we will do that instead of jogging over with our luggage.
