keep on cruisin Posted November 2, 2014 #1 Share Posted November 2, 2014 I understand that we will be given a phone to use to contact the concierge or butler. Will that phone work to call a phone using the iConcierg app. Wondering if we can save the connection fee for the one phone.
Demonyte Posted November 2, 2014 #2 Share Posted November 2, 2014 1. The cordless phone provided in suites is just a regular phone that you can use anywhere on the ship to call and receive calls to/from any ship phone. 2. When one has a smart phone and the voice/text functionaly in iConcierge activated, they will receive a unique number that can be called from any phone on the ship. (Provided that the app happens to have a connection to the iConcierge WiFi all the time, on Epic this was the biggest problem that rendered the system almost unusable for us. The connection kept dropping randomly and the calls didn't come through so one would have needed to keep an eye on the device all the time for connection notifications to make sure the app worked.) So to answer to your question, 1 + 2 = yes.
