OhioGirl Posted November 6, 2014 #1 Share Posted November 6, 2014 (edited) Have a strange question...... Were any of you able to bring on real flowers for your wedding or were you limited to silk flowers? I was thinking of making wedding cut out cookies to give to our guest, do you think I can bring those on-board? We are doing the bare-minimal for our vow-renewal...we booked the Garden Villa on the Jade, and having my sister perform the ceremony...We don't need to pay for all the extras that NCL offers! Any feedback is appreciated, but please be nice! Edited November 6, 2014 by OhioGirl
mrstriceasnice Posted November 6, 2014 #2 Share Posted November 6, 2014 Most of the cruise lines will not permit you to bring live flowers on board. You can order them from the wedding vendor and they can bring them on board. I think if you package the cookies in individual celophane bags with a gold twist tie you might be able to convince them they are from a bakery and then they would be more likely to allow them on board with you. Carnival_Brides Posted November 6, 2014 #3 Share Posted November 6, 2014 Like PP said, most lines won't let you have real flowers. You might get away with it if it is a vow renewal in the middle of your cruise, but why chance it? We got real-touch silks and they did the job. As for the cookies, normally as long as they are individually wrapped you should be fine. Carnival was fine with gum paste cake decorations as long as they were wrapped.
