Beaches at Falmouth, Jamaica

There aren't really any beaches right at the port. You'd have to take some sort of excursion or get a ride to the beach. Most people head either to Ocho Rios or Montego Bay. There are taxis and buses right at the port to take you to the beach or shopping, no tour needed.

Docking in Falmouth on our Western Carib Oasis cruise in Jan. Booked the catamaran tour which is 4 hrs. Hoping to go to Red Stripe Beach on our own via taxi or Margaritaville since we will have 2 to 3 hrs. Left after returning fr. Our excursion. Any one have an opinion on if we will have enough time?

chanat,

I could be wrong, but I thought I read that Red Stripe Beach is about a 10-15 minute bus ride from the pier in Falmouth, and that transportation to and from the pier and beach are about 30 minutes apart. Double check this. Not sure if I read this here or on Tripadvisor.

Enjoy your cruise.
