Does anyone know if past cruises make any difference when Carnival is assigned rooms? ie. Gold vs blue or red? TIA

Makes no difference. I would recommend watching your cruise price for a reduction and possibly upgrading to an assigned cabin for very little.

My PVP said they might look at days sailed when they assign rooms, but again they might not. We have 5 cruises currently booked. The third of those cruises will be our platinum cruise. On Cruises #1 and #2 of those 5 cruises, we booked our first guarantee cabins since the price was great. We have our assignment for the Freedom. it is not the greatest location as it is on Main beside the stairs so I would say days sailed did not matter. Still it was a great deal and we would do it again for the awesome price.

In most cases we have been upgraded with a guarantee to a better room at no extra cost than the upgrade offers we received. Loyalty levels make no difference.

We always book aft. Guaranteed balcony we received a forward room. Not complaining because it is on deck 8. But definitely would have preferred aft!!
