Question About Cave Tubing

I have a question about cave tubing that i haven't seen on the boards yet. Can you go, or is it wise to go cave tubing without an excursion company. There will be 4 lor 8 of us going and the others in the group suggested we get a taxi to take us to the caves. Please give me your comments. Thanks

We took this trip last summer - Action Belize was fantastic. There are a lot of posts on this board if I remember correctly - we cruised Carnival last year and this was the company we used in Belize. We took a six year old and a 10 year old boy - no problems, easy hike, not cold, it was pretty fun.
