Eden Roc

I've asked this on the Florida home ports page but hadn't received a response so I thought I may have better luck on here.

 

Has anyone stayed at the Eden Roc pre-cruise? If so, what'd you think? Also, how expensive is a taxi to this hotel from the Ft Lauderdale airport and from the Eden Roc to the port of Miami (clearly we didn't plan this out very well or we'd have flown into Miami)....

It may be cheaper to hire a car to travel from

Ft Lauderdale to the Eden Roc, I think

one of the major car hire firms Alamo I think, has a drop off there

Or keep it parked and drive to the port

The hotel is fantastic,

Wow! I remember staying at the Eden Roc as a kid, lo those 50 or so years ago. Seemed oh so swanky and elegant to me. I made some sort of ceramic craft in the "kid's club", though I was the only one there. Thanks for stirring up some fond memories.

Did you get taken to dinner at the Starlight Roof? Fantastic food and experience.
