Have cruised Fantasy a few times and like the smaller ship and it's convenience.

Cabin R216 was not in the best shape with stains on the carpet, sink that did not drain properly (which was fixed after informing guest services) the safe not open and the only recepticle for charging our devices loose and not working (also temporarily fixed for us).

Cabin steward was very cordial and kept room beautiful, but we rarely saw him.

Cruise Director needs to move on. He really doesn't do much and is not visible unless he's goofing off with the dancers.

Usual complaint is if the weather is not so good, put a DVD into the machine and offer movies indoors in Universe lounge or Forum. What a waste of technology. Hey it might make a few people happier than complaining about the rain all day. Beats them sitting in Buffet area playing games all day.

BIGGEST COMPLAINT IS SERENITY (OR LACK OF IT). Thought it was a place to have some peace and quiet, but all we had was roudy hot tub'ers who thought they had the place to themselves. We have this complaint every time we sit in Serenity and after ad nauseum drunks, we leave the area to find some other place to sit (It was quieter on the sports deck with the children). Smoking on that deck was also a problem, along with the staff smoking on the deck below near the bathroom.

Great New Year's Eve bash and even greater closing show for the last night onboard. Usually this last night is quiet with everyone packing and no shows available. This cruise had everyone beat hands down with that closing show and it's conga line into the atrium. GREAT IDEA!

I agree about the cruise director. The only time we ever really saw him was when he hosted the game of love, which he did a good job with, but no better or worse than others we have seen. It seemed like Jenna the assistant cruise director was a lot more visible and had a lot more interaction with the guests than he did.

I also get the feeling he was responsible for having shore excursion people and people needing tender tickets both meeting in the lounge, which was a nightmare. Our last cruise on the Fantasy tender tickets were handed out on lido by the pool and only people with excursions met in the lounge which seemed like it would have made getting the excursion people on the first tenders go much more smoothly.
