Costa Rica Questions - Sarchi & Oxcarts

Has anyone ever gone to Sarchi in Costa Rica and can tell us if it is worth the trip? We dock in Puentarenas and have hired a guide and now trying to dcide what to see. We want to get an oxcart - a little one and hear they are made in Sarchi along with lots of other crafts. Are they everywhere and is the shopping in Sarchi better than elsewhere?

 

What about Cararas Park? Is there an aerial tram and if so is it worthwhile? Is the skywalk better? Or just a walk throught the Park?

 

Is San Jose worth the trip? We mostly want to shop for local arts and crafts and maybe see some wildlife so not sure San Jose is worth the time.

 

Any info would be appreciated.
