Yukon- Skagway WP&YR and bus combo

I thought I read somewhere that the WP&YR had opened up their tours to let independent tour operators do the combo bus and train tours not just limit it to cruise lines. If so could you supply the info for finding such operators?

There's no easy way to find them, Larry - the only one I can find right now is Chilkoot Tours - http://www.skagwaysbesttour.com/ I thought that either Southeast or Frontier did as well, but I don't see a listing on their sites.

We took just the bus tour, no train and it was quite enjoyable. Found our tour operator on the Skagway website. The driver narrated and he definitely had a very interesting tale to tell.

Have already done the bus tour. Didn't want to do a roundtrip on the train, so was looking for a bus and train combo without using the cruiselines. Used Frontier Excursions and was hoping I could find they had a combo. Had also checked southeast tours with no luck either.

Keep checking I am sure you will find it. Maybe call the train company and ask them for another idea.
