I haven't seen many reviews on the NCL spirit. Does anyone have any feedback on this cruise ship?

The Reason you don't see the reviews is it was transfered to NCL from star about 1 1/2 years ago. In answer to your question I was on the spirit in April and loved it not to big not to small has an Asian theme to it. it is also going into dry dock after Alaska for a update do a search on this board and there is a thread on what the upgrades are.

Hi Heather:

A good place to see wonderful pictures and some narration regarding the Spirit is http://www.shipcafe.net/shipcafe/shipcafe.htm. This is an independent site with reviews of several ships.

We will be taking our first trip to Alaska on the Spirit 10 September. After reading all of the reviews here - the good and the bad, the good won out. In the past few months, the main complaints seem to be in the food service. This is not a deal breaker for us - with ten or so resaturants, we can surely find eatable food! Otherwise, most have been positive.

You may have to go back quite a ways to find reviews - Just use the "Search" engine (from the blue line above) and you will come up with much information.

Good luck

I loved the Spirit. Its crew was as wonderful as this ship is unique and beautiful, with its Asian decor. The Spirit has a wonderful spa, gym, pools, theater, disco and observation lounge, a pub, a cafe, a blue lagoon grill, piano bar, kids center, game arcade, movie theater, game rooms, library, internet cafe, many fine restaurants and a buffet. Some ships have bigger cabins, and others have smaller cabins. The bathrooms are bigger than most, and she has the largest casino a ship its size....

The Norwegian Spirit, formally the SuperStar Leo, was the first new built ship and the pride of Star Cruises, NCL's parent firm. And it shows.....

The upcoming drydock in October will only make her better for the American market, as she was built for the Asian market. A larger karoke lounge, galley improvements, redone Raffles buffet, a large gift shop added, plus another high energy lounge, and best of all more cabins on deck 13 aft, where the helo pad is now....
