How is shopping in Freeport? Recommend any places?

Port Lucaya is the main shopping area. Same stores as in most ports along with a type of straw market (small version of the one in Nassau). Must take a taxi or bus from cruise ship to Port Lucaya.

You can do the beach across the road from the straw market $10 cab ride round trip. If you don't like the public beach the hotel will let you in for $15 it's well worth it.

There is alot of shopping right off the boat in Freeport now. We took the cab to Port Lucaya and thought it was a waste. There was 8 of us so it was $80. Not worth it IMO

That's true. From the marketplace, walk across the street to the hotel, turn right, walk past the police station, then left down the path next to the fence to the beach. 300 yards of walking.
