CozSally Posted August 28, 2005 #2 Share Posted August 28, 2005 There are plenty of pharmacies in Cozumel that cater to tourists. You can purchase any medication (that is NOT a controlled substance) over the counter. Sometimes the price is less, sometimes more. Know what you pay in the U.S. before you look for "deals" in Mexico. If you want a controlled substance, you'll need a presciption from a Mexican doctor. IslandJim Posted August 28, 2005 #3 Share Posted August 28, 2005 does anyone have "in the know" of getting medications in mexico? Such as generic xanax, etc. What is the policy in Mexico? It isn't generally available, thank goodness. Purchasing controlled narcotics in Mexico is not easy anymore and not cheap. This particular drug might not even be available at all. There are very few ligitemate uses for it.
