Maasdam...upgrade ?

We have had both types of cabins on non-vista ships, including an "S" on the Maasdam, and truthfully, we prefer the suite over the mini-suite.

The price differences on our long (35 day) cruises would have been prohibitive so we took the "A" and loved it. On the shorter cruises it's not out of our budget so we splurge.

If money isn't an issue, go for the suite. We think it's really worth it. The amenities, especially the laundry and dry cleaning, really appeal to us. The extra space, large balconies, dinner menus that arrive mid-day, priority tendering, all make us feel very pampered. I've only mentioned a few of the suite perks, there are more.

Some of the cross-overs, like the personalized stationary and the big towels are available to "A" cabin pax too, and except for the concierge, we didn't notice any difference in cabin service. What we really like is the table for 4 on the veranda. We really make a lot of use of it for room service breakfasts.

There really isn't enough room on the mini-suite verandas to enjoy a meal.
