AandBmom Posted February 1, 2015 #1 Share Posted February 1, 2015 I know that weather changes week to week but we're sailing on the Epic next week and I'm wondering about temperatures both on the ship and in the ports. Did you ever feel the need for a light sweater? Or a light jacket? Was it overly air conditioned in the dining rooms? Was it cool on deck in the evenings? Was it ever cool in port? Any suggestions can help as I'm packing for a family of 6.
vbcoachcj Posted February 1, 2015 #2 Share Posted February 1, 2015 We just got off and I personally felt like I wished I would have packed some warmer clothes. It was pretty windy the first and last day. I had a blanket we took with us everywhere but didn't really pack a jacket or hoodie. I would have used it. dolita22 Posted February 1, 2015 #3 Share Posted February 1, 2015 We just got off the Epic last Sunday. In ports, it was sunny and humid. Weather was in the upper 70s/low 80s. For us, it was never cool in port. We were in swimming suits, shorts and t-shirts. In the dining rooms and around the interior areas of the ship, yes, I wore a light sweater or fleece pullover. It wasn't overly air conditioned, but I liked having an extra layer after being out in the sun all day. When we were sailing back the last day/night into Miami is when it started getting cooler (grey and cloudy), and that's when those few extra layers were helpful.
