2 kids on Breakaway to Bermuda

We have a cruise to Bermuda on the Breakaway on hold for June 2016. Kids sail free promo too good to pass up. Our kids will be 1 and 3 at that time. We were considering a family mini-suite. Has anyone brought kids this age to Bermuda and what was your experience like?

Thanks,

Dan

Plan to spend a good long time at the zoo/aquarium. It's perfect for younger kids. Our first time in Bermuda we had 4 & 6 year olds, and spent a lot longer there than I expected to. It even has a small playground. Bring snacks, in case the snack bar isn't open.

Horseshoe Bay Beach has a small area often called "Baby Beach." It's perfect for kids and easy to find. Once you walk down from the road, the main beach is to the left. Head to the right for Baby Beach.

We also enjoyed Tobacco Bay when they were little. The ferry ride to St. George is nice, and then Tobacco Bay is a bit of a walk from town. It's uphill though, so either pay for a ride or plan to carry little ones. Once at the beach, one of us could hang out with the kids while the other did a little snorkeling.

Be prepared for intense sun. Hats, sunglasses, and lots of sunscreen.

I'd save the caves and the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute for when they're older. (Because of course you're going to want to come back!)

Have a great time! We're headed back for the third time, now with 9 and 11 year olds. :)

We are booking on the Getaway and we have 3 children. Have you looked at the Family Oceanview category on deck 5? The room is reversed so the adults are closer to the bathroom and more importantly there is a privacy curtain that can be pulled between the bed and the sofa sleeping area. Most likely you won't even need to fold out the couch-I would request a crib for the 1 year old and have the sofa made up (not pulled out) for the three year old. I know you won't have the balcony, but it might be more helpful to have that space inside. In any case, it looks like there are more activities for the under 3 crowd but we have sailed on two other NCL ships (Sun and Star) and our kids had a blast. Have fun!

Horseshoe Bay Beach is amazing for little kids. We stayed in the area called "baby beach". Shallow and safe for swimming and playing in the water. We brought Froot Loops to feed the fish and saw a lot of people doing the same thing.

You can see lots of colorful fish in that area! The little kids will love it! :)

First took our children to Bermuda at ages 6 and 2 and they had a good time. Horseshoe Beach is perfect as others recommended.

Taking them back this year.

Good thing about this cruise is you are there for three days and two nights so you have time to explore the island and if kids need a rest you can come back to ship for nap and go back out.
