Tampa Pre-cruise hotel

A great pre-cruise hotel in Tampa.....The Residence Inn By Marriott, downtown.

 

I booked thru priceline.com, its listed as a 2 1/2 star hotel, I paid $53!

 

The room was fabulous, large room with Queen bed, large L-size couch sitting area and full kitchen. Price includes a full hot breakfast buffet in the morning. It had pancakes, make-your-own waffles, eggs, bacon, sausage, cereal, fresh fruit, etc. The hotel is only 1 mile from the port. They do not have free shuttle service from the airport, it cost us $18.60 for a taxi from the airport. BUT....it does have a free shuttle service within 2 miles of the hotel. So, we had free shuttle to dinner in YBor that night, and free shuttle to the port in the am. It does have a pool and basketball courts, we didn't use them, but it all looked very nice.

 

It was a great hotel and worked great for us!!
