Birthday in Oslo

Birthdays in Norway tend to be fairly small private affairs, typically a dinner among friends and family. However, they do have their own birthday song if you can find a friendly Norwegian who's willing to sing it for you!

Otherwise, you could treat him to a nice meal ($$$ in Norway!) or buy him something like a small gift of Norwegian chocolate at the Freia chocolate shop. Does he have any particular interests or do you have an idea of how you'd like to celebrate?

Thank you for the information. I love the song on Youtube and will play it on my iPad for him on his special day!
