Playhouse05 Posted February 20, 2015 #1 Share Posted February 20, 2015 We are avid boaters and my husband was looking at possibly having lunch at the Georgetown Yacht Club while we're in Grand Cayman next week. Are the restaurant and bar open to the public? I've looked at their website but can't seem to find this info. Anyone ever been there?
drew sailbum Posted February 21, 2015 #2 Share Posted February 21, 2015 (edited) Sure, the restaurant and bar are open to the public. The George Town Yacht Club is located at the end of North Sound Road which runs through the industrial park. It is sometimes referred to as the George Town Barcadere. It's just a bit north of the end of the airport runway and well off the beaten track for most cruise ship visitors. You will need a cab or rental car for transport to/from the GTYC. Better known is the Yacht Club in Governor's Harbour area that most island residents are more familiar with. No restaurant out there, as far as I know. When most island residents hear the term Yacht Club, this is what they think of. Edited February 21, 2015 by drew sailbum
