TrentS Posted September 16, 2005 #76 Share Posted September 16, 2005 Thanks TrentS. We will be staying at the Hyatt on January 7th before our cruise. Do you know if all the renovations will be finished by then. I am glad the pool will be opened by then. My grandson is really looking forward to the pool from the pictures. Thanks again for all of your help. I don't know when it will all be completed. They've just painted the exterior, they're working on the pool now, and they closed the revolving lounge at the top a couple of weeks ago (it will no longer be open to the public, they're turning it into a banquet room :( ). The rooms are next up, starting with the garden lanais. They're replacing the furniture with lighter woods, lighter tile, new carpeting, light fixtures, and 42-inch flat-screen TVs. TrentS Posted September 16, 2005 #77 Share Posted September 16, 2005 Wow, thanks for all the help. Here is another question. Hotwire has a 3 star FLL airport hotel with shuttle, restaurant and pool for $90.00. Any ideas what this might be and if it is a good deal? Thanks for all the help. I don't know, but be careful, many hotels a long long way from the airport call themselves "airport" hotels, and some are in a rather nasty neighborhood. It could also be the airport Wyndham, that one pops up on Priceline a lot, but I rarely hear anyone say anything nice about that place, and there's nothing to walk to from it. TrentS Posted September 16, 2005 #79 Share Posted September 16, 2005 The SE 17th Street hotels are less than 10 minutes from FLL, just outside the entrance to Port Everglades, and are in a very nice area with many many restaurants, shops, Water Taxi, etc. within easy walking distance.
