Need FTTF with captains suite?

I booked the captains suite on carnival freedom with a casino rate and was wondering if I need FTTF to go directly to my room. This will be a once in a life time trip, so I will be anxious to see the suite. Below is what I received from carnival, but I'm wondering if I can trust it.....I have heard many different opinion on this. Should I print the email below and take it with me when boarding?

Thank you for contacting us. We appreciate the opportunity to be of assistance.

Please be advised that you're able to go directly to the Captains Suite once onboard. Additionally, you're not escorted but your cabin steward will introduce himself directly to you.

Thank you for choosing Carnival.

Sincerely,

Nice! I'm torn between whether or not to get it with my casino rate as well. How much did you pay for the week? I'm debating whether I should take the free ocean view on the Breeze or Captain's Suite on the Conquest.

Just under $ 1400 for the week for the wife and I..... Normally we'd never pay regular price for the room, but at that rate we jumped at the chance. We know it's probably our one chance to have something that nice. I was kinda of like you...I had a free interior but $1400 for something that would cost me 6k normally sounded really good. I hope it's good as it's sounds....what ship are you debating?

Just happy for you..nothing more to add for me..but take the confirmed letter, I would not think at that level you would need faster to fun for early tender privileges too should you need them....but it just makes me happy when people get good splurge deals...soak up the room...order room service lots..Sarah

Thank you, we will! I think I will have the email in my pocket when we board. I just wonder if we don't have FTTF on our card if they will stop us from going to the room? I don't need my luggage right away but I REALLY would like to see the suite soon as possible.

If I had a wife or girlfriend I wouldn't have to think twice lol. I'm going solo so don't know if I'll even spend much time in there. Although, I do meet many more people solo than when I travel with friends. It would be awesome just for those views and space too.

I'm looking at an 8 day on the Conquest in May. It's $1300 taxes included for the 8 days.

I'd think $1300 is a steal as well...but like you said " how much time is spent in the room. " For me it's just something I know I would never book normally......heck not even look at booking. As they say I've never seen a hearse with a luggage rack...

I do not gamble much so don't know how the things change on this cruise..but no way should you have to wait for that room...as soon as best ones are vacated they get on them on any ship I would assume, highest payers getting best rooms first, I would think..but call someone to ask the "boarding bosses where you board" (LOL)..very ok to be an exited customer with a few questions...you have spent enough with them to get the deal and the room at a GREAT PRICE//but you have "earned it" in past play and travel etc....Sarah

The funny thing is I've played "harder" in the casino but never gotten an offer before!

Sure, I'll let you know by tomorrow. I have a hold on the Conquest but couldn't hold both.

What games do you play in the casino?

I'm a table player, but I've never gotten an offer at all...."especially like this." Seems odd to me!

I'm sure you're happy. :D

How much cash did they offer you? They offered me $1000 so it gives me the Captain's Suite on the Freedom for taxes and port fees.

I have no idea? If they offer any cash I'd be happy!

Do you have to see casino host for cash offers? What about drinks in casino?

You can call and they'll tell you and drinks in the casino are covered the entire cruise. How old are you guys?

Who do I call? I sent them an email asking for casino host but got no response. We both are early 40th!
