Accra-Rockley-Worthing beaches - worth going to?

Hi

We are planning on going to Carlisle bay to check out the wrecks and maybe do a turtle tour but we're thinking of going to the Accra area first as I heard that it was a great place to see turtles from the beach. True? Or not waste our time and stick with the bay?

At the south end of Accra/Rockley, there's a man-made reef about 150 yards out from the Tiki Bar. This is where we used to go every morning to see turtles. If you can get there before 9:00 or 10:00 a.m., there's a good chance you'll see some.

 

As with all things mother nature, there are no written guarantees... :)

 

Otherwise, go to Carlisle Bay and hire a guy for $20 to take you out to the turtles.

I also heard that this is often a good place for beginners to boogie board. Anyone know if the waves are better in the morning or afternoon?

There really is no rhyme or reason as to how the waves will be breaking but morning is usual calmer....but like aimodels said....as with all things Mother Nature you just never know.:)
