JRB- please help with a question

Has anyone bought a day pass directly from the Jewel Runaway Bay Resort/Water Park? If so how did you get there?? Taxi?

 

If we go thru Resort for a Day/ Jamaica for a Day they don't leave the port until 9:15am and leave the resort to return to the ship at 2pm

That only leaves us 4 hrs at the water park and resort.

 

I was trying to decide if the $$$ is worth 4 hrs?

We are traveling with 9,11, and 6 yr old.

Not sure about JRB but we use Sunset Beach resort which has a kids water park area, and it is cheaper to go through them directly for admission by $15 over resort for a day. Mir is right by the port so a taxi is about $5-$10. Just a thought.

Thank you!! thank you!! It's amazing how everyone responds about the Blue Hole but you can't get info on anything else.

Did it feel safe? we are two women with 3 kids.

My DH and I just spent a week in Jamaica staying at the Jewel Dunn's River. I have to say I never felt in harm's way. Everyone we came in contact with were very friendly. The Jewel resorts are wonderful. We took a trip to Negril and found the people there to be just as friendly. We will be stopping in Falmouth next year on our cruise and I am looking forward to it.

I have vacationed in Jamaica several times. I have never felt unsafe but I don't go walking around on my own. The resorts are very safe. We are going to Sunset Beach when we cruise in July to avoid having to go very far but still want to spend time on the beach, eat and enjoy beverages.
