Silhouette Easter Week 2015 - Food & Sports!

Although we have spent the majority of cruises during the spring we never have been on an "Easter Cruise". Easter is the first day of our cruise and I expect a typical menu, which may or may not offer ham or turkey. Does anyone have any recent experience on a Celebrity Cruise over Easter and their offerings for meals.

Secondly, several sporting events occur during our cruise and I would be interested sitting at a lounge for a bit and catching some of the NCAA Basketball Championship Game (April 6) Indianapolis (CBS), and wouldn't mind checking the leader board during the Masters (April 9-12) Augusta (CBS). Just wondering from folks in the know if I may be able to catch a glimpse of these events and where I might be able to catch them. Did sail Princess once during the NCAA Basketball Championship game and it was shown outdoors at MUTS.

Of course I will check while aboard to see what is scheduled. BTW my entire cruise experience will not change one bit if I am exposed to zero TV sports while on vacation! :D

If you have have any other offerings of experiences during an Easter week cruise I would be happy to hear them! Appreciate all my CC friends!

Cheers!

Hey Ken,

We're also with you on that cruise. We've cruised Easter week before. I do wanna say as far as menu, they had a lamb with mint jelly offering for Easter. Not sure if this was out of the norm, but I remember noting that it was most likely for Easter.

Most of our Floataway guys like to watch the Masters. They watch it in the casino bar. My thought is other TVS around the ship should be able to show the same thing.

As for Final Four, I'd have to imagine that would be on. The ships show NFL playoffs and Super Bowl, so I would bet on getting the international feed of the game. I'm sure someone will come along with firsthand knowledge. Only 2 weeks to go!! Can't wait!!

Hi Ken

Can't wait to be sailing with you. :D

On Princess, when we sailed during Easter, they served ham and lamb dinners.

Display of eggs and mass for those who wanted to partake.

As for the sporting events that will be televised on TV. Not telling DH. :o;)

Hmmm, second thought, maybe I should, and I will go shopping. :p:p:p

Thanks to my friends on the April 5 Sailing of the Silhouette! Lamb sounds great! But then again so does anything when someone else cooks, provides me unlimited beverages and does the dishes! :D

Anyone know of anything else special during Easter Week? I heard I could go to mass? Perhaps have an Easter Egg Roll on the lawn?

Cheers!

So last time we sailed over Easter, we embarked on a Saturday and Easter was the first full day at sea. They had an early mass and and evening mass. This cruise leaves on Sunday, so I'm thinking it will only be an evening mass around 5. That's smack in the middle of sailaway festivities, so to appease my wife, I'll find a church in Ft. Lauderdale near our hotel and we'll go before we board the ship.
