Q RE Seabourn's Oia cooking class excursion at Santorini port

At Santorini port, Seabourn offers an excursion to Oia followed by a "cooking class" with lunch at a nice restaurant that I am considering signing up for on an upcoming SB cruise. Has anyone experienced this excursion? If yes, how much of it is standing around watching someone cook, or helping them cook, vs. actual eating and enjoying the view? As I do not stand around well on hot days, I prefer more actual eating and less standing around at "cooking classes".

They usually offer an unescorted transfer to Oia and subsequent transfer to the main area above the port. At the latter there are plenty of eating places with views and you have the option of cable car down, walking or donkey (not recommended). This might suit you better.

I did this excursion in 2010 when I was on the Odyssey. This was great fun and perhaps one of the better excursions I have done! So fun that if I were to return, I would encourage my Mom to go and do it again. We watched, we did help cook and then enjoyed an absolutely wonderful lunch. HTH
