Joker440 Posted April 14, 2015 #1 Share Posted April 14, 2015 We just got back from sailing on the Miracle from 4/4/15-4/11/15. I "earned" the Drinks on Us card the first day. On Day 3, the casino sent cookies to our stateroom. On the final night, they sent wine to the Bacchus dining room. That same night, they sent me a letter indicating I was eligible for a free cruise. I called the number on the letter when we got back on shore. The PVP asked what region and time frame I was interested in. I asked her to check Alaska itineraries. The only available cruise is 6/30/15. She said I needed to book by 4/25 and travel by 8/31/15. Total port/taxes are around $400. I can upgrade to a balcony for an additional $250/pp. Not a bad offer. It looks like the certificate is worth $1600 and up, depending on which stateroom I select. For reference, I had 4001 points on the last night of the cruise. I'm sailing the June 30th on the free casino rate in a balcony room so I'll see you there if you decide to do it.
sillychicky Posted April 14, 2015 #3 Share Posted April 14, 2015 Oh, and what I've gathered is that they send chocolate strawberries or cookies when you reach 2500 points. DOU are 1000 points on 5/6 day cruises and 1500 points for 7-10 day cruises. They also do cumulative points for the year and will offer a pack and play deal where you can choose from a lot of itineraries. Check under "My cruise deals" under your VIFP number and sometimes you'll see a TON that are free or $50 interior, $85 ocean view and $120 balcony. Hawaii even popped up for me at one point. I wish I had a ton of time to just cruise!

sillychicky Posted April 14, 2015 #5 Share Posted April 14, 2015 Gotcha. I'll see you on the Legend if you decide to book it...though the balcony shouldn't be 250pp more, it was 240 total more for us. Have fun!
Joker440 Posted April 14, 2015 Author #6 Share Posted April 14, 2015 Interesting. The PVP said $400 total for interior 4A and $900 for balcony. Wonder what the next PVP will tell me. [emoji16]

[emoji16] Is it under "Your cruise deals" yet? Click on that link above, then the VIFP link/square and it'll show current offers. 400 is correct for taxes and port charges (interior) but we paid $642 total with balcony. Each of us paid $120 more for balcony. Do it quick if you want to do it though, Alaska disappeared on me after a day. Reappeared a few days after that for one day and then was gone for the rest of the promotion. Glad I didn't book the first time it popped up though, they only offered interior then! theriac Posted April 14, 2015 #8 Share Posted April 14, 2015 Pack and play and free cruise from the casino are different. They told you that it's a value of $1600 and the cruise for two in a balcony is $3400 then you'd pay the difference of $1800 which is $900 pp. Pack and plays are a completely different promotion that the casino offers and is limited to only a small number of cabins per selected sailings. BigB0882 Posted April 14, 2015 #9 Share Posted April 14, 2015 The inconsistency is astounding. We had just at 5000 points on our 7 day cruise and we only got the DOU card which is automatic for anyone and everyone at 1500 points. Nothing sent to our room, no bottle of wine and no bounce back offer. I didn't expect the cruise offer since we already have another booked but last time on the Elation we got strawberries in the room and some other stuff. Our friend got a bottle of wine at dinner on this cruise and a free cruise offer. I guess if you are cruising again they figure they have no reason to try and woo you. Hey, as long as they keep sending Pack and Play offers!
