Drink prices - Celebrity Constellation

Recommended Posts

I am about to go on my first cruise and wondered if it is worth getting the drinks package? I was told that drink prices would be $5-$7 per cocktail and wondered if this was actually true. Not being a big drinker I figured it would not be worth it but have heard horror stories of huge bills on other cruise lines. Any recent experiences on Celebrity would be greatly appreciated.

7.00 for drinks like rum and coke but more likly 10-12 for fancier drinks like frozen drinks etc.

I dont understand horror stories about bar bills. you can check your account as the week goes by. Not waiting until the last minute to be sticker shocked.

Basic cocktails start at $8. Beer is $5 to $7. A decent wine is $9 to $12 and up. Martinis are $10 to $13. Fancier drinks are $9 to $12. With a drink package you not only get alcohol drinks ( if you purchase the alcohol package), but you also get bottled water, soft drinks, special coffees and teas and fresh squeezed orange juice.

I know its a different cruise line, but - me the wife and 2 kids just been for a week on MSC and had their Allegrissimo package (£64 per day for us all). Seems a little dear but I saved the majority of my receipts (just to see what we'd 'spent' on drinks).

Package cost - £448, Spend on board €775 (at least) which is approx £575.

We aren't massive drinkers, but did take advantage of cocktails and kids had plenty of ice creams and milkshakes :D
