couple of questions

we are off in 15 days on the anthem and i was wondering if anyone knows

 

1. what time can we drop our bags into southampton port?

 

2. if we drop our bags in can we go back into southampton before check in?

We arrived at the port at around 10am, but we were turned away by the staff on the gate as there were still people dis-embarking and told not to come back before 10:30am. Not a problem as we had driven, so we drove around to Mayflower Park, took some photos and returned to the car park at 10:30 and we were allowed to park.

 

Not sure if timings would be any different if not parking at the Port...

 

After we parked, we were surrounded by staff who took our luggage off us and stuck a receipt with barcode on onto our Set Sail Pass.

 

We then walked into the Terminal, had our SS passes stamped and we then walked through the Security scanners and into the lounge. we only had to wait about 5 mins and we were then able to board.

 

So I suppose there would have been nothing to stop us from going into Southampton after dropping our bags off - but we were just to excited to board as soon as possible !!!

You can drop your bags off and leave but you must be back before final boarding time ie "All Aboard - 3:00 pm". You need to actually be on board by then not in the terminal. I would be back about an hour before to ensure no problems.
