motleyfan Posted June 20, 2015 #1 Share Posted June 20, 2015 Everytime I read something about the Norwegian Haven suites I often hear mentioned a DVD library , though I probably won't spend much time in my room I was curious to have an idea of what the DVD library may contain? After all in between shows, swimming, eating and drinking I can see myself watching the occasional movie or at least a little bit of a movie. Demonyte Posted June 20, 2015 #2 Share Posted June 20, 2015 All full suites (category codes starting with letters S or H) have access to the DVD library, (in my experience from various ships) it has 100 titles and includes also some pretty recent DVD releases, mainly movies from the last 10 or so years. The current list is available in the suite and you call/ask your butler to bring you a movie of your choice.
Rileyz Posted June 20, 2015 #3 Share Posted June 20, 2015 On the newer ships like Breakaway there is no DVD library. Instead, you get free pay per view type movies. Whereas a non suite might have to pay say $12.95 for an in room movie, a suite does not. It's automatically $0.00 on the order screen. The only negative was there wasn't a huge selection. The positive, they were all newer releases. Hope that helps. :)

New2cruise1483 Posted June 20, 2015 #5 Share Posted June 20, 2015 When we were on the Pearl a couple of weeks ago, they had a last of the movies available in our room. Like others have mentioned, a lot of them were fairly recent releases.
Cmdr Cody Posted June 20, 2015 #6 Share Posted June 20, 2015 We were in the BA Haven, and there was a DVD player and there was A movie list for PFV. But the free ones seemed old. OBTW, there were pornographic titles listed as I perused the list. Didn't try to watch anything, but I assume you need some proof of who you are for the XXX. Rileyz Posted June 20, 2015 #7 Share Posted June 20, 2015 (edited) Is this new? When I was in a suite on Breakaway last year, there was a DVD library, not free pay-per-view. Not sure if this is new. I was on a few weeks ago and this is what my butler told me. Now could it be wrong info? I suppose it's possible. The ppv was indeed free though. The DVD player is still there, we played our own. Anet01 Posted June 20, 2015 #11 Share Posted June 20, 2015 Is this new? When I was in a suite on Breakaway last year, there was a DVD library, not free pay-per-view. I believe it is new. We were on the Getaway end on May and our Haven Aft Suite had dvd players, when we inquired about dvds, the butler told us about the free pay per view movies. We had the adjoining balcony cabin as well, and he told us the movies would only be free in our suite room, so we watched them in the suite. You could bring your own dvds. Could you imagine calling the butler with that request? "Yes, hello. I was wondering if Edward Penishands was available? No? OK, I'll take a copy of White Men can't Hump. Thank you." :p
Coastalbreezes Posted October 16, 2015 #15 Share Posted October 16, 2015 On the TV there is a "Favorite Shows" channel and a (free) movies-only station which plays some decent films. Tracy
