stevedeccaman Posted June 21, 2015 #1 Share Posted June 21, 2015  Stevie The summer solstice is happening this Sunday, June 21 which means there will be 17 hours of daylight The longest day of the year is finally here! June 21 marks the summer solstice, which is, technically, when the Sun reaches its highest point in its path as seen from the Earth and the tilt of the Earth's axis is most inclined towards the sun. Which means we get the most daylight of any day the year (hooray!) It's generally understood to mark the middle of summer, although looking out the window, we could be forgiven for thinking that hasn't even started yet
Malch_uk Posted June 21, 2015 #2 Share Posted June 21, 2015 Anyone on a fjords cruise this time of year will experience 24 hour daylight which is amazing. Unfortunately, they will not be with Thomson.
