Port of Seattle to Sea-Tac

We will be going on an Alaskan cruise out of Seattle and have heard horror stories of getting from the cruise-port to Sea-Tac Airport. What is the best way to get to the airport and how much time should we allow?

we went out of Seattle last year, and had no trouble getting from the pier to airport, we took a taxi, there were plenty and if I remember it was about $25.00 for the two of us. we were at the airport before 10 and our flight was 12.30. had plenty of time. The problem we ran into was getting on the ship, it seems they did not have a good system for checking in the luggage, but by now they may have changed it, Have fun
