Does being a Past Guest mean anything?

I knew you get the invite to the party/ the pin/ gold room key, etc. But as far as room assignments when booking a GTY does it mean anything. For some reason our PG # has never been right, so after 3 phone calls and about 1+ hour on the phone I got it straight and called back to add our #'s to our booking. So, does it matter if you are or aren't for anything other than the party? :D

There is a past cruisers cocktail party which in April on the Glory was very nice. We attended one on the Triumph two years ago and it was only okay. This year, there was a band playing, better selection of drinks and goodies as well. Plus, as I remember, it wasn't in the middle of the afternoon as on the Triumph, it was before the early seating which was much nicer. There was a great crowd and it was fun. John Heald of course, made it full of laughs!
