FTTF Question

We are booked in an Ocean Suite and priority embarkation is included. Is purchasing the FTTF pass worth it over and above that perk?

I wouldn't think that it would be worth purchasing. The most benefit I can see is being able to embark sooner and have your stateroom ready immediately. That will already be the case for you so I wouldn't spend the $ on that. Save that for a drink of the day.

From what I can tell on the Faster to the Fun FAQs on Carnival, the only perk Suites get is the priority embarkation. It doesn't seem like the suites get their staterooms ready first.

 

From Carnival:

 

Priority Security, Check-in and Express Boarding

Bypass lines and have exclusive security screening lanes and express boarding lane. This is only available on embarkation day. If you arrive after general boarding has begun, you may bypass the general boarding line and board via the Faster to the Fun lane.

**Note: VIFP Diamond and Platinum guests as well as guests in suites will only have access to the Priority Check-In Lounge and proceed on board before FTTF guests.

 

First Access to Stateroom

Your stateroom will be ready for you as soon as you board so you can relax or freshen up for all the fun you are about to have.

**Note: This is a benefit for VIFP Diamond and Platinum guests. This doesn't say it's a benefit for suites

I just know I've seen a lot of posts where people complain because there aren't a lot of perks with the suites. I've never had a suite...but that's what I've read.

This will be our 3rd Carnival cruise and we have always done a suite and the only perk we get IS the priority boarding - which is well worth it.

 

So I just have to decide if that other stuff is worth it. Just being able to get into your cabin early might be.

Enjoy! If you find yourself at guest services even one time on your cruise, you'll be happy that you have FTTF.

Suites DO NOT get room ready at boarding, priority tendering, priority line at guest services, priority debarkation. They only get priority embarkation. If you want or need the other priority services you need either Platinum or FTTF.

My sis and I are booked in a suite for January 16 on Valor... soon as FTTF became available, which was yesterday, we hopped on it. It is so worth it to me, begin able to drop off bags and settle in really starts the fun faster!!:D
