Ship Boarding

I received my docs today and read that boarding starts at 2:30. I noticed that people in various threads seem to be coming in earlier......also noted that CC class says you have "early" or "preferred boarding" does that mean that we can board earlier than 2:30, or is that the time everyone can begin? thanks.

We boarded around 11:00 and were able to get right on. We couldn't go to our rooms right away which was okay - we just checked out the ship and then had some lunch in the Windjammer - I think we were able to get into room around 1:00.

After reading many posts here we also thought it was best to go earlier, but after speaking with the Princess rep at our hotel she explained it's very busy then with earlier flights so we opted to go with the time the Princess transfers were originally for and we were on the boat in about 30 - 45 minuest with a hot dog in hand :)

I've been watching my next cruise ship, Carnival Fascination the last several weeks on Miami's web cam and have seen people in the pool as early as 11:30 a.m. on a few occassions. So, my flight arrives in MIA at 9:45 and we plan to be at the pier by 10:45 and hopefully on the ship by 11:30 to 12:00. I've also asked many cc members what time they've arrived and many said they were in their cabins by noon. Even though my docs say 2:00 embarkation time. I want to be sitting by the pool with a froo froo drink in hand as early as possible :D
