KayKayKay Posted July 13, 2015 #1 Share Posted July 13, 2015 Hello. I'm going to be stopping in St. Thomas with my seven year old twins on August 3rd. I was thinking of going to Brewer's Beach as we just want to swim, snorkel and look for shells and sea glass. Is this beach safe for a mom with two little ones? What would a taxi cost? (I've read $7 per person each way.). Will the food trucks be there at that time of year? I'm open to other suggestions. (We were at Sapphire Beach last year.) As safe as any beach, but too close to the airports & rather empty of tourists, though I imagine some of the college students next door might hang there at times. Try Lindbergh on the other side of the airport. I understand the beach close to the Best Western is very nice with a good number of amenities. A couple of other suggestions on the east side, Coki & Lindquivst/ Smith Bay. Coki has pretty good off beach snorkeling & is next to Coral World if the twins or mom get tired of the sun or the weather doesn't cooperate. ps: No shells or coral are to be taken from VI beaches. Sea glass is fair game. Edited July 13, 2015 by HarpHarp
