Flight After Cruise to Newark Airport

Our Royal Caribbean Liberty of the Seas cruise from Cape Liberty ends on 10/17/15. Virgin America has changed our Newark departure flight time from 1 p.m. to 12:30 p.m. I'm not sure if that half hour makes much difference, but do you think we will be ok to make our flight?

From reading these boards, I think we should book in advance with Dial 7 or Carmel. Is this correct?

Thank you in advance for any and all responses.

138east, thank you so much!

One more question: Our friends who are cruising with us are flying from LaGuardia Airport. Their Southwest flight also departs at 12:30 p.m. They will use a car service to get from the port to the LGA. Will they be okay?

My advice is that your friends plan to self disembark so they don't get caught if the overall disembarkation runs late.
